We love bikes, it's why we do what we do. Bikes have been a large part of our lives for as long as we can remember and we feel lucky that we're able to contribute to the cycling community in Wellington.
Years of riding and repairing bikes means we have a pretty good idea of what works and what doesn't. We've gone ahead and curated a range of our favourite products that have stood the test of time. Hopefully you like them as much as we do!
Stuart Cunningham
Stu is half of the original Get Lost Cycling team and he's repaired more bikes than most have had hot meals.
Having spent the best part of the 21st century bouncing between bike shops, Stu has an almost encyclopedic knowledge of all things on two wheels. If he doesn't know it then it's probably not worth knowing!
Koen greven
Koen is the other half of the original Get Lost Cycling team and despite a pandemic, multiple lockdowns, and a variety of bad haircuts he's still kicking about and doing his best.
There aren't many types of cycling Koen hasn't given a nudge and he's found a comfortable spot in the middle of the pack. He'll tell you he's not competitive but also finds himself in a world of pain more often than he'd like to admit.
Jak Brightwell
Jak has been a part of the Get Lost Cycling team since the early days and has been pivotal in building the shop to what it is now.
Originally hailing from Taupō, Jak is now a city slicker through and through. You'll often find him sipping oat flat whites, swimming in the ocean and cracking fat whips up on Mt Vic!
Karsten Lorentz
Karsten is our American import and we think he's the best thing to come from the land of the free since pumpkin pie.
When he's not busy fixing bikes you'll find Karsten studying rocks and climbing remote mountains. He loves nothing more than getting in to the back country so only runs components he can rely on!
Elliott Bell
Think of a young and enthusiastic bike frother; that’s Elliott! With no shortage of energy, Elliott puts us to shame on the climbs, and even more so on the descents. His favorite trails are Butters and Double Happy.
When he’s not out shredding, you’ll catch him reading up on all the newest bike tech.
Jacob Hammond
If you've come across Jake out on the trail or in one of his previous workshop roles you'll know that he LOVES everything about bikes!
There aren't many days when he's not either riding, digging or fixing bikes and that's just the way he likes it. Reliability is key for anything Jacob uses so you can always trust him to point you in the right direction.
