Touring bikes come in all shapes and sizes, but this Norco Search XR is definitely pushing boundaries! Out of the box the Search is a drop bar, 700c gravel crusher, but for Nigel that wasn’t going to be enough. This started a whole journey to create what some might consider the ultimate touring bike, even if it isn’t for everyone.
Starting with a Reynolds steel Norco Search frame and carbon fork, this was always going to be a fun build. By running carbon 27.5” wheels instead of the standard 700c wheels Nigel was able to squeeze in a pair of 2.1” Terravail Sparwood tyres that not only look good, but also ride great. Paired with an integrated dynamo, GRX brakes and an XTR drivetrain there’s nothing this can’t tackle!
